MusicBiz Exchange Publishing

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 12, 2026 · Updated October 16, 2026

This policy explains what information MusicBiz Exchange Publishing ("we", "us") collects when you visit musicbizexchange.com or sign up through our forms, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who we are

MusicBiz Exchange Publishing publishes the Beyond the Song series by Toyin Adeniji, Ph.D. You can reach us about anything in this policy at toyin@musicbizexchange.com.

What we collect

We only collect information you choose to give us through our sign-up forms:

When we send you emails, our email provider records basic information such as whether an email was opened, which links were clicked, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. This helps us understand what is useful and keep our emails out of spam folders.

The website does not use advertising cookies. To understand how many people visit and which pages and links bring them here, we use Cloudflare Web Analytics. It sets no cookies, does not create a profile of you, and does not follow you across other websites; it counts page views, the page that referred you, and general information such as browser type and country. Like any website, our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (such as IP address and browser type) for security and reliability. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to fetch them.

How we use it

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not share it with other organizations for their own marketing.

Consent and unsubscribing

We only email you after you sign up and confirm your email address by clicking the link we send. Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and you can leave at any time with one click. You can also email us and we will remove you.

Who processes your information

We use Kit (kit.com) to store subscriber details and send our emails. Kit is based in the United States, so your information may be stored and processed there. Kit handles the information on our behalf and under its own security and privacy commitments. Our website is hosted by a third-party hosting provider, which processes standard server logs as described above, and visit statistics are processed by Cloudflare (cloudflare.com) as described above.

How long we keep it

We keep your details for as long as you stay subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep only what is needed to respect that choice (so we do not email you again), and you can ask us to delete your details entirely.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, including under Canada's privacy laws and the GDPR in the UK and EU, you have the right to:

To make a request, email toyin@musicbizexchange.com. We will respond within 30 days.

Children

Our forms are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and the effective date above. For significant changes, we will also let subscribers know by email.
